BISS and Impulse at the Interschools Challenge

Impulse Coaching Staff at The Interschools

What a week!!
We're just back at our Italian base after a very busy, but enjoyable week in Les Houches at the Interschools Challenge with over 70 trainees from 8 different schools attending and training with us.

Last Wednesday saw 2 of the schools travel out from different parts of the UK in order to get two days training before the resort got too busy with trainees at the weekend. Thanks to BSA for their help, we got to set up some great training on Thursday and Friday for these 30 racers.

New Hall School Team - 8th Place at the Interschools

The weather was amazing, if a little slushy at the bottom in the afternoons and it made for some great training and confidence building for our trainees on fairly empty pistes.

Saturday saw the vast majority of our numbers on the hill Our coaches were up on the hill early, setting several courses for our trainees. GS, Slalom and a stubby gate slalom for our U12 and U10 racers. Sunday brought more sunshine and, teaming up with Ambition Racing, a full length GS on the race hill for all of our schools athletes to train on ahead of the races on Monday and Tuesday.

It was then onto Monday and Tuesdays races. A lot of work and organisation but some great events with our trainees putting in some great performances and one school, New Hall, taking 8th place after working with us on their programme for just under two years. There were some great individual improvements from schools racers who have been with us for the last two Interschools.
Congratulations to BSA for running some great races, giving all of our kids an amazing time. and a big thanks to our coaching staff for all their hard work over the six days.
